An update gave turn-band a new power: said before it surprises you.When an update adds something notable, the row and the line above your prompt say so until you have seen it.

A lens, not a sandbox

modmgr tells you what a mod can do and asks before anything new runs. It does not limit what a running mod does.

Read the security notes

  • It can't contain a mod

    An enabled mod runs with your session's power. modmgr can't watch it or stop it mid-session: to stop one, disable or remove it and reload.

  • Capabilities come from static analysis

    They are what the validated code says it does, for that version, not proof of what it can't do. Updated code is validated again.

  • It won't answer yes for you

    A command a marketplace declares is shown whole, with its sha256, and runs only when you confirm that exact command.

  • It sends no telemetry

    It runs only the claude CLI and never writes a settings file itself. Its own reads, from raw.githubusercontent.com, stop when CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_NONESSENTIAL_TRAFFIC is set.
